Welcome to The Athenæum Warminster, Wiltshire’s oldest working theatre, and a historic, educational and community venue.
Dating back to 1857, ‘The Athenæum’ has been a lecture hall, a school, a cinema, a theatre, an arts venue and since 2000, a multi-purpose venue and centre for the community. Whether you’re here for a show, film, dance or music lesson, social meeting or support group we hope you enjoy your visit to this historic Grade II listed building.

Did you know you can help support the Athenæum every single week, just by playing the lottery?
We’ve teamed up with the Wiltshire Community Lottery, a weekly online lottery run by Wiltshire Council. Tickets cost just £1, and for every ticket bought in support of the Ath, 60p comes straight to us, helping to keep Wiltshire’s oldest working theatre open and thriving.
