How to find Us?
The Athenæum is situated on the High Street in Warminster, in the heart of town. There are several nearby car-parks and the train station and local bus stops are within a short walking distance.
where to park?
If you visit us by car, the nearest car park is the Western Car Park (BA12 9NJ) alongside the Civic Centre accessed off Sambourne Road. There is a pedestrian walkway leading to the zebra crossing on the High Street opposite the Athenæum. Alternatively, there is the Central Car Park (BA12 9FF) next to the library where you can access the High Street via Three Horseshoes Walk.
Both Car Parks are operated by Wiltshire Council, and chargeable during the day via pay and display machines or the MiPermit App (which can be downloaded below).

Divorced, Beheaded, Died... Join King Henry, the Eighth of That Name live at the Athenæum for a Royal romp through history! This one-man, two-act show, has toured extensively across the ‘Realm’, and to the USA. Set in the year 1544, Henry recounts the events of his life and long reign, telling of his wives and of his children. The second Act concludes with a Q&A in which the audience are invited to pose questions on any related topic – a lively Q&A session is assured and there are always surprising answers! ![]()

The Narrator: A master storyteller who brings the magic of the woods to life! This role is mainly spoken with some delightful singing lines at the end of Act 1, creating a captivating connection with the audience. ![]()

The same actor also plays the Mysterious Man: A quirky, good-hearted wanderer with a penchant for mischief. He’s an insightful observer and protector of secrets and performs an emotional duet with the Baker at the end of Act 2. ![]()

🗓️ Rehearsal Schedule:![]()
We rehearse weekly on Thursday evenings from 7:30 PM to 10 PM (latest) and Sunday mornings from 10:30 AM to 1 PM. We also offer Tuesday evening rehearsals upon request for extra singing practice! Please note: not everyone will be needed at all rehearsals, which will be confirmed weekly.![]()

💰 Performance Levy & Script Deposit: ![]()
A performance levy of £30 applies, and a £25 deposit will be required at the first rehearsal for a copy of the script/libretto—this is refundable upon safe return! ![]()
