Film: The Invite (15)

Music teacher Joe (Seth Rogan) and stay-at-home mom Angela (Olivia Wilde) are in a marital crisis in this romantic comedy. Despite Joe’s objections, Angela invites their relaxed and confident neighbours, Pína (Penélope Cruz) and Hawk (Edward Norton) over for dinner. They immediately step into the middle of a fight. The rest of the evening is a series of awkward attempts to recover, made worse by Pína and Hawk’s openness about their relationship and sex, which exposes Joe and Angela’s mismatched expectations and resentments to their guests.
