Tenor Carl Daniels\, whose specialism lies in musical theatre\, brings a voice of clarity\, warmth and expressive power. In 1970\, local music lover Alan Shepherd led a fundraising effort to purchase a beautiful Yamaha baby grand piano as a gift to the Athenæum.
