Warminster Comedy Club returns to the Athenæum with another huge night of live stand-up, headlined by one of the UK’s most distinctive and respected comedians, Simon Evans.
Based on the true, moving story of Liz Evans, a hairdresser and leader of a youth theatre in Carmarthen, Wales who started a campaign in 1993 to save the Lyric Cinema from closure and demolition. She and a local councillor enlist the help of Steven Spielberg.

For lovers of classics with a splash of fizz, this vibrant concert features classical-crossover pianist Richard Lennox, joined by musical-theatre tenor Carl Daniels and mezzo-soprano saxophonist Joely Hudson. Performed on the Athenæum’s treasured Yamaha baby grand, the evening raises funds for the Brickhill Trust for Music (Sheila Toomey Award).
